A new course in Algorithmic art for high school students was developed by an interdisciplinary team consisting of two mathematicians (Milena Marić, MSc and Ivan Anić, Ph.D.) and two digital artists & programmers (Uroš Krčadinac, Ph.D. and me). The project was produced by Digital Serbia Initiative, Petlja Foundation and UNICEF.

The goal of the project is simply to make interdisciplinary courses that can be seamlessly integrated into current 3rd-grade high school curricula in math, programming, and art. Each lesson includes art history segments interweaved with math and programming in p5.js.

I’ve worked on chapters 1-5 and 11, introduction and conclusions, as well as most of the illustrations. It was a real pleasure to unite, through these lessons, my formal background in math and programming with current design and artistic practices.

Project is live since 14th of April: https://petlja.org/kurs/3284/1
